Clyde Grammar – Barrel Shade Structure

Clyde Grammar – Barrel Structure

We have just wrapped up our latest project at Clyde Grammar and we are excited to share it with you all!

The school required adequate shade over their heritage Melbourne tram car at their beautiful new campus in Clyde. Peninsula Shade Sails worked closely with the appointed contractor to devise the perfect shade solution to ensure the students are able to maximise the use of this new outdoor learning and play area all year round.

This Barrel structure using the Triax system not only has aesthetic appeal, it also beautifully covers a large span over the tram without the need for many internal supports. The Triax system is an innovative solution for creating covered spaces that combine form and function.

The Architectural PVC used to fabricate the canopy was Bochini by Ricky Richards, and the steel frame supports were powder coated Dune from the high quality Interpon range.

The final result is a fantastic and practical outdoor space to be enjoyed by the school in all weather conditions.

Congratulations to the entire team for a job well done!
